    Perth Arrival

    DAY 1

    Check in to the Pan Pacific Perth, overlooking the Swan River and its sweeping riverfront parklands from the upper floors. Located in East Perth with the city centre just a short stroll away, this is your comfortable base for the first three nights as you settle into the rhythm of Western Australia's sun-drenched capital.

    Pinnacles, Sand Dunes & Stargazing

    DAY 2

    A nine-hour journey into Western Australia's most otherworldly landscapes. Sandboard the giant dunes at Lancelin, walk the bush at Hangover Bay, then watch the sun sink over the Indian Ocean over a traditional Australian BBQ dinner in the heart of the Pinnacles Desert. As darkness falls, telescopes and astro binoculars come out — with an expert guide bringing Aboriginal Dreamtime stories of the Southern Hemisphere night sky to life.

    Rottnest Island

    DAY 3

    An early ferry from Perth whisks you across to Rottnest Island — a car-free paradise of turquoise bays, white sand beaches and the island's most famous residents: quokkas. With the afternoon entirely your own, explore by bike, swim in sheltered coves or simply find a beach and do very little at all before the late afternoon ferry returns you to the mainland.

    Margaret River

    DAY 4

    Collect your hire car and drive south into one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions. Smiths Beach Resort sits within a national park right on the Cape to Cape walking track, steps from the surf — each apartment with its own outdoor dining area and BBQ. Three nights of caves, tall-tree forests and stunning coastline await.

    Leeuwin Estate: Art, Wine & Seven Courses

    DAY 5

    Five hours of unapologetic indulgence at one of Australia's most iconic wineries. A guided tour of Leeuwin's celebrated art gallery is followed by a tutored wine tasting, before sitting down to a seven-course seasonal tasting menu perfectly matched to the estate's Art Series wines. One of the great long lunches of the Margaret River region.

    DAY 6

    An afternoon at Margaret River's founding wine estate, where it all began in 1967. A guided tour takes in the history, folklore and organic viticulture of the original vineyard before a private tasting of the full Vasse Felix Wine Collection brings the story beautifully to life in the glass.
