    Hobart to Casuarina Camp

    DAY 1

    Travel by our private boat through the sparkling waters of Mercury Passage to the isthmus of Maria Island, and walk to the tranquil Casuarina Beach camp. After lunch, enjoy the afternoon walking through tall eucalypt forest to spectacular Haunted Bay and back (optional).

    Casuarina Camp to White Gums Camp

    DAY 2

    Today, walk north along five pristine beaches, through forests and past rivulets. Spot dolphins, sea eagles, wombats, and wallabies. Visit historic sites, swim, and explore. By late afternoon, arrive at White Gums Camp, where a beach dip and BBQ offer the perfect end to a rewarding day.

    White Gums Camp to Darlington

    DAY 3

    Today, explore giant Blue Gums, visit Ruby Hunt’s cottage, and discover historic Darlington—home to wombats and Cape Barren geese. After lunch, choose an optional hike up Mount Maria or Bishop & Clerk. Tonight, enjoy Bernacchi House with hot showers, sunset cheeseboard, and a delicious three-course dinner.

    Darlington to Hobart

    DAY 4

    Explore the woodlands at the northern tip of Maria Island, take in sweeping views to Freycinet National Park at stunning Skipping Ridge and millions of years of history at Fossil Bay. Enjoy a celebratory champagne lunch before boarding the boat to go back to the mainland.
